This Refund Policy explains the terms and conditions for refunds on NovaInvoice subscription services. We strive to provide excellent service, but we understand that sometimes you may need to request a refund.
2. Subscription Plans
2.1 Free Plan
The free plan is offered at no cost and is not subject to refund requests.
2.2 Pro Plan
The Pro plan is billed monthly at $6.99 USD (or £4.99 GBP) and includes unlimited invoices and advanced features. This plan is subject to the refund terms outlined below.
3. Refund Eligibility
3.1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new Pro plan subscribers. You may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial subscription for any reason.
Eligibility: First-time subscribers only. Limited to one refund per customer.
3.2 Service Disruption Refunds
If our service experiences significant downtime or disruption that prevents you from using core features, you may be eligible for a prorated refund based on the duration of the disruption.
Qualifying disruptions: Service unavailability for more than 24 consecutive hours or more than 72 hours total in a billing period.
3.3 Billing Error Refunds
If you are charged incorrectly due to a billing error on our part, we will provide a full refund of the incorrect charge and correct the billing issue.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be provided in the following situations:
- Cancellation after the 30-day money-back guarantee period
- Violations of our Terms of Service
- Account termination due to fraudulent activity
- Partial month usage (subscriptions are monthly commitments)
- Change of mind after the guarantee period
- Lack of usage or failure to use the service
- Technical issues on your end (internet connectivity, device problems)
5. Cancellation vs. Refund
5.1 Subscription Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. When you cancel:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
- You will continue to have access to Pro features until the subscription expires
- No refund will be provided for the remaining time in the current billing period
- Your subscription will not renew for the next billing period
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:

- Include your account email address and subscription details
- Provide a clear reason for the refund request
- Include any relevant documentation or screenshots
Response Time: We aim to respond to refund requests within 3 business days.
7. Refund Processing
7.1 Processing Time
Once approved, refunds are processed through the same payment method used for the original purchase. Processing times vary by payment method:
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
- PayPal: 3-5 business days
- Bank Transfer: 7-14 business days
7.2 Refund Amount
Refund amounts are calculated as follows:
- 30-Day Guarantee: Full refund of the subscription fee
- Service Disruption: Prorated refund based on disruption duration
- Billing Error: Full refund of incorrect charges
Note: Payment processing fees charged by Stripe or other payment processors may not be refundable.
8. Chargebacks and Disputes
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and quickly.
Important: Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in immediate account suspension to prevent further charges.
9. Stripe Connect Payments
For payments received through Stripe Connect (invoice payments from your clients), refunds must be processed through your connected Stripe account. NovaInvoice subscription refunds are separate from invoice payment refunds.
Invoice Payment Refunds: You are responsible for processing refunds to your clients through your Stripe dashboard or by contacting Stripe support directly.
10. Account Termination
If you request a refund and your account is terminated:
- You will lose access to all Pro features immediately
- Your data will be retained for 30 days for potential account recovery
- After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted
- You may create a new account, but the money-back guarantee will not apply
11. Exceptions and Special Cases
In exceptional circumstances, we may consider refund requests outside of our standard policy. These decisions are made at our sole discretion and may include:
- Extended service disruptions beyond our control
- Significant changes to service features or pricing
- Extraordinary personal circumstances
12. Currency and Exchange Rates
Refunds are processed in the same currency as the original payment. If your bank or credit card company applies currency conversion fees, those fees are not covered by NovaInvoice.
13. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
